Great book!

I've always been an admirer of John Mackey and we've shopped at Whole Foods for many years. It's so good to read a book like this every so often, not only to be inspired in the kitchen, but to review the research. We haven't used oil or sugar for a very long time because nature provides whole foods that substitute like avocados, olives, nuts, dates, raisins etc. The recipes offered in this book are only a glimpse of what could be done in the kitchen. I just wish that more people would help themselves. As is stated in the book, a person doesn't have to become Vegan. 10% of the diet could be meat or fish and one can still be healthy. Read this book and enjoy. This book could save your life.

I purchased this on a whim and I'm glad I did

I purchased this on a whim and I'm glad I did. I'm a meat eater but I have decided to experiment with the 28 day program. Aside from some milk in my coffee this am I have consumed no animal products and I feel pretty good. I'm going for day two tomorrow.

Life changing and DELICIOUS!

Easy read. Clearly organized and written. Packed with life changing information. To read that FOOD IS medicine and heals was so empowering. It was so affirming to hear that food not only can help prevent and treat, but in some cases even REVERSE disease (cardiovascular, obesity, diabetes and even some cancers (breast and prostate) was fascinating. WHOLE FOOD PLANT BASED FOR ME after this read! Thank you John Mackey, Matt Lederman and Alone Pulde. Great read.
